The Fish Hatchery

Well, it is me writing all of these entries, but I'm breaking the forth wall on this one because of how horrible the fish hatchery really is.

I started writing this book series and had the first draft of all of them done back in 2018-ish, and I had a very clear idea of the reveal of the fish hatchery and the thing that happens in book 4 that will hit some readers really hard. I'm sitting here in 2026, writing this website content, fully aware of the very real horror of the current situation that the fish hatchery mimics, and part of me doesn't want to publish the forth book because of it.

It makes me sick to my stomach that it actually exists.

But just because evil exists in real life doesn't mean that we should avoid the horror of it when we make our art. Finding out the real world version of the fish hatchery made me realize I have to put the power of my manifestation into book 5, and shape the clay of my creation until it provides an ending full of such beauty that the darkness cannot survive in the light of its presence.

I will envision a better world.

Let this be my prayer for Fiz to descend upon this one.
