#MyBrokenBond Art Contest Rules

Bring the Broken Bond Characters to Life!

To celebrate the upcoming release of Broken Bond, I’m hosting an art contest—and you’re invited to bring my characters to life in your own unique style!

How to Enter:

  • Choose one or more characters from the official character list.
  • Post your original artwork on Instagram, TikTok, or Bluesky using the hashtag: #mybrokenbond.
  • Make sure your post is public if you want greater visibility, tag me @ArianaIrendale, so I can see it—I’ll be linking to your entries on my pages to send traffic your way.
  • If you don’t want to share your art publicly, you can send it to me in a DM, but you won’t be eligible for the community favorite prize.
  • Feel free to submit your link here to ensure it’s counted and to join the email list to receive the final contest applicant confirmation.

You may submit multiple pieces, and yes—you can win more than one prize if your work stands out. Bring your best!

Deadline:

  • Submissions close on June 14, 2025.
  • A full list of confirmed entries will be posted on my website and socials so artists can verify their work was received.

Prizes:

  • 1 Grand Prize – $1000

Chosen by me, with community opinion factored into the decision.
  • 4 Artist Picks – $200 each

Selected by me based on creativity, originality, and character expression.
  • 1 Audience Favorite – $200

Given to the piece with the most combined upvotes and comments across platforms (excluding the Grand Prize winner).

Winners announced by June 30, 2025, and paid within one week of receiving payout details.

Rules & Guidelines:

  • Art must feature characters from Broken Bond as listed on the official contest page.
  • Any medium or style is welcome—digital, traditional, rough sketch or full render. All skill levels are invited to participate.
  • Spicy posing is allowed, but nothing that requires a NSFW tag will be accepted.
  • No AI-generated artwork can win a monetary prize. All submissions must be created by a human, and winners may be asked to show proof of process (WIPs, timelapses, etc.).
  • No submitted artwork will be uploaded to or used in AI training datasets by the author or contest organizers—ever.
  • Artists may submit more than one entry, and are eligible to win multiple prizes if their work qualifies.

Rights & Usage Policy (For Winners Only):

  • Non-winning artists retain full ownership of their entries and are free to reuse, reshare, or sell them independently.
  • Winning artists grant the author a non-exclusive commercial license to their submitted piece(s) as part of the prize exchange. This includes:
    • The right to reproduce, modify, promote, and sell the artwork in connection with Broken Bond, including merchandise (such as stickers, postcards, book boxes, or promotional materials).
    • Use of the artwork in social media, newsletters, ads, printed content, and other marketing assets related to the book.
  • This is not a transfer of ownership. Artists retain full rights to their artwork.
  • Prize money serves as full compensation for the granted commercial rights. No additional royalties will be paid.
  • Winning artists retain the right to sell their winning artwork as standalone fine art prints.
If you choose to sell your art, I will gladly link to your shop or listing from my website when feasible to help direct fans your way.
  • Characters remain the intellectual property of the author.
Artists may sell prints of their Broken Bond fan art, but not use the characters in unrelated commercial projects.
  • Artists will always be credited where reasonably possible (e.g., on packaging, on my website, and in social media posts).

Winners must submit a high-resolution version of their winning artwork and must be able to receive some form of digital payment through a legitimate well known source (e.g., PayPal or similar).

I’ll send the full prize amount, though please note that payment platforms may deduct small fees depending on your country or account type.

Note on Minimum Participation:
To ensure a vibrant and fair contest, the full prize pool is intended to be awarded only if a minimum of 10 qualified entries are received. In the event that fewer than 10 entries are submitted, the contest may be extended, or the number and value of prizes may be adjusted at the author’s discretion. Regardless of changes, all valid entries will still be considered for recognition and shared with the community. If desired, any one entering can opt-in to a commission list to be considered first for future commissions.
